Round Table Discussion
On 30th November, 2007, the Civic Education Committee held a round table discussion in the school hall. The purpose of this discussion was to provide a forum for S.6 and S.7 students to discuss the contemporary issue on ‘The importance of raising public awareness in the heritage conservation in Hong Kong’. To make the discussion lively, different representatives from S.6 and S.7 played the different roles of government officials, contractors, scholars, citizens, environmentalists and old district residents. Three sessions were arranged to enable participants to engage in the discussion regarding the issue. There was keen discussion and all the participants and audience showed great interest and enthusiasm in the whole process.
Mrs Au, who monitored the discussion, praised the efforts of the participants and explained clearly the differences between debate and round table discussion. Finally, Miss Lam, the principal, was invited to present the prize to the outstanding class, 7B. |
